Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel could face further penalties following his altercation with Lewis Hamilton in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
The governing body of Formula 1, the FIA, are holding a meeting on 3 July to “further examine the causes of the incident to evaluate whether further action is necessary”
The outcome of the meeting will be announced before the Austrian Grand Prix on 7-9 July.
Vettel was handed a 10-second stop-and-go penalty during the race for his collision with Hamilton and later given 3 points on his license.
Hamilton’s driving data was examined by the stewards during the race and was found to be consistent and so the hearing will focus on Vettel’s behaviour only.
